Canada’s males’s basketball workforce will play exhibition video games in opposition to Spain and Argentina this summer time in preparation for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
The Canadians, who’ve clinched a World Cup berth and are 10-0 in qualifying, will play host Spain on Aug. 17 and Argentina on Aug. 18 in Granada.
Players will collect in Toronto for coaching camp in early August to start World Cup preparations.
Canada secured its World Cup berth with a 94-56 win over Venezuela on Nov. 11 in Edmonton. Canada concludes the sixth and remaining window of Americas qualifiers subsequent month, once they journey to Argentina on Feb. 23 and Venezuela on Feb. 26.
Indonesia, one of many three host nations for the Aug. 25-Sept. 10 World Cup, chosen Canada as the popular workforce to play group part video games in Jakarta. Other teams are in Japan and and the Philippines.
The remaining part shall be performed in Manila, Philippines.
