The Washington Capitals and head coach Peter Laviolette have mutually agreed to half methods, the crew introduced Friday.
Laviolette joined the Capitals within the 2020-21 season, taking on for Todd Reirden. The 58-year-old is coming off Washington’s worst season since 2006-07. Laviolette’s contract was set to run out on June 30.
“We are grateful for Peter’s management and dedication to our group for the final three seasons,” mentioned MacLellan. “Peter is a first-class particular person who has represented our membership with integrity and guided our crew via many tough circumstances in his tenure as our head coach.
